Az. Ag. Ferreri & Bianco
Description
The partners founded the winery back in 2003 after having experimented for two years. They finally got it right, and now produce the best of wines from the various grapes grown on our land. The production philosophy adopted by the company has been to make the most of local white and red varieties. The idea is to cultivate and make wine exclusively from indigenous grapes.
The first grapes were Nero D’avola and Catarratto. The company then decided to focus on other varieties that are strongly rooted in Western Sicily. In terms of reds, these would include Pignatello and Cabernet Sauvignon. When it comes to whites, they went for Grillo, Zibibbo and Inzolia. Eventually, Spumante (sparkling wine) from the Catarratto Extralucido variety would be added to the mix. Passito di Zibibbo and Extra Virgin Olive Oil obtained from the famous Nocellara del Belice were also produced. our hard work and commitment to producing a product of the highest quality has won us numerous national and international awards over the years.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark ruby red to the eye, the nose offers aromas of wet earth and undergrowth, pepper, fern, ripe plum and cut grass. An intense and full-bodied wine, with a good balance between softness and compound tannins.
Nero d'Avola Ferreri
The queen grape of Sicily has found made its home in the Santa Ninfa area where it can express itself in all its magnificence. Generous on the nose with hints of plum and black cherry, violet undergrowth and sweet spice. On the palate it is characterised by its softness with dense tannins and its structured body.
Catarratto Ferreri
Balanced, savoury with echoes of hazelnuts and toasted almonds supported by an elegant minerality. Catarratto Ferreri fully respects the varietal characteristics of what is considered to be the most widespread grape variety in Sicily. The grape has a distinctive identity on the western side.
